The Beechwood Swim & Dive Team is a recreational team that is a member of the Northern Kentucky Swim League (NKSL). Practices begin in early June. The 2010 season ends July 30.
The team practices are held Monday – Thursday each week for about 1 hour. There are 6 regular season diving and swim meets during the year with an All-Star Meet and Champ Meet at the end of the season. Children are eligible to participate in either the All-Star Meet or Champ Meet. Diving Meets are held on Tuesday evenings and Swim Meets are held on Thursday evenings at various NKSL clubs.
All members in good standing (membership or rental card in their name) are eligible to participate in the swim team as long as they are able to complete one lap of the pool (25 meters) of freestyle and one lap of the pool backstroke at the beginning of the season. If you are not sure whether or not your child is ready for the swim team, the coaches will be happy to evaluate their skills. Potential swimmers not ready for the swim team will be referred to the swim lesson program.
All members in good standing (membership or rental card in their name) are eligible to participate in the diving team as long as they are able to dive off of the diving board (1 meter board) at the beginning of the season to participate in practice.
Fees Fees for 2010 remain at $55 per child for swimming or diving or $65 per child if they choose both. Fees include payment of insurance required by the NKSL, the end of season banquet (for the swimmer/diver) and one Cuda T-Shirt.
